The Great Slave Lake is North America’s Deepest Lake, as well as the 10th Largest Lake in the World! It’s also located in the Northwest Territories, Canada’s coldest, most wild and remote wildernesses, and only around 20 fisherman actually work the lake yearround!

His arrival coincides with a growing threat from Russia, as their warships and submarines begin making forays into British waters. As crew and captain prepare for the tough realities of life back at sea on board a submarine, orders are received for Trenchant to stop the next Russian vessel making its way towards British waters. Once at sea, there’s trouble on board when the submarines toilets suffer a major blockage and all 7 bathrooms have to be closed for several hours, leaving the crew with nowhere to relieve themselves. There’s also a new recruit on board trying to get to grips with life 24 hours a day, on a submarine. The mission means he’ll be away from family and friends potentially for months. As a newbie he must take a test to become a full member of the crew and win his ‘dolphin’, the official mark of a submariner. A short while into the voyage, a Russian submarine is discovered heading towards the UK and Trenchant is placed on high alert in case they get closer.
